Inspection Readiness

Inspection readiness is most useful when it describes the school’s normal governance practice, not a short burst of activity after an inspection is announced. Throughout the year, leaders and governors review policies, oversee safeguarding, consider performance and finance, record challenge, assign actions and check whether agreed work has been completed. Those records help a school explain how governance operates and retrieve the evidence relevant to an inspection conversation. They do not predict or guarantee an Ofsted outcome, and a generic checklist cannot replace the current inspection framework or the particular context of the school.
